Re: Guidelines for Proposed Salary Plan for Policy-Covered Staff (FY 2006-07)
I am very pleased to announce guidelines for implementing the Proposed Salary Plan for Fiscal Year 2006-07, effective October 1, 2006. Guidelines for implementing salary increases for Policy-Covered (non-represented) Staff are summarized below. Salary actions for exclusively represented employees are determined in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and/or meeting-and-conferring as appropriate under the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA).
Consistent with University-wide action, it is proposed that the salary ranges in the following open range salary structures be adjusted by 3.5% effective October 1, 2006:
The proposed fund pool for merit increases (covering combined range and merit funding) for policy-covered staff is 3.5%, effective October 1, 2006 for those on a monthly pay schedule and September 25, 2006 for those on a biweekly pay schedule. In order to be eligible for a merit increase, employees must have been on payroll by April 1, 2006 and have a performance rating of "satisfactory" or above.
Merit Rosters will be distributed early next week. Please see the attached merit guidelines for further detail. (Attachment D)
Please share these proposed guidelines with policy-covered employees in your organization; the guidelines will also be available on our website. You may direct questions to the Healthcare Compensation Services at 310-794-0500 or the EDB preparer for your group.
Best wishes,
