Human
Resources is charged with developing all required templates, schedules
and timelines for all the Orientations and Training required for Staff
and Physicians in preparation for the move to the New Hospitals.
It is our goal that Staff and Physicians are intimately familiar with
the physical layout, operational workflow of their units and all fire
and safety standards prior to the actual move date, in order to ensure
a safe transition of our patients into the new facility.

Department/Unit Specific Orientation and Life Safety Forms
To document the orientation and training modules, all staff are
required to complete the attached forms during their Department/Unit
Specific Orientations and Life Safety Training in the new facility. The
completed forms must be reviewed and signed by the appropriate
Champion/Manager or Designee and the Safety Manager then returned to
the department for logging and filing into the employee's personnel
file.
Department Managers are encouraged to review the templates and
customize the area "Unit Specific" on page 2 for their units during the
Operational Workflow Process.

Champions
Physician and Staff Champions were selected from each department/unit to lead the
Orientations and Trainings for all staff within the unit. Champions received a 1-day intense training during which they
had the
opportunity to spend time in their unit and adjacencies designing the
format for their staff trainings.
All Champions who attended the
Champion Training in November and December should be on the security
list for access to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
